Loosing Love For Weloveservers

My relationship with WeLoveServers.net has started when they had taken over the small cheap web hosting provider called Tugu hosting. I make two posts about them before, one was WeLoverServers is Having Server Problems. and other one was WeLoveServers.net Customer Support is Good. Well sadly I can say still their servers are pretty bad.

There are good things about WeLoveServers. Their customer support is pretty quick and nice for a cheap vps provider. Also their prices are amazingly low even for a budget vps provider. That's the reason why I ended up buying even another server from them few months backs. Well, when u see an ad about 3GB RAM VPS for 32usd per year, (Yes per year) you get greedy and forget to think carefully and straight. I even got 2 ip addresses along with the vps. If you put $24 per year for those two I have received server for just $6 per year. So yeah I jumped at chance and bought it.

It was really nice first 2 months. It was fast and there were no downtime. The just since August I started getting small dose of downtimes daily basis. I didn't mind those at begin since those were always less than 5 minutes. But sadly things only got worse. At end I had to talk to support and I had to get sever moved to another and it was in Los Angeles. This is where things have started gone even more down the hill. imidiatly I noticed new 2 IP addresses are black listed by multiple sites. Changing ips didn't work since those range is black listed. Also down times are still there even though not worse like before.

So yeah if you going to buy those damn cheap servers and location you get it is Los Angeles then I can be 99% sure you get is black listed ips. They have given me so many promises those will be white listed in new few hours, 48 hours, 72 hours but I think I had to accept the fact this wont happen, Whole ip range is abused by spammers and I don't think those ip range will be de-listed, ever !

I can't say it's all their fault. Their servers are not exactly crappy but since this ultra cheap prices those are always oversold and crowded and but I sure these have become spammers paradise since so low prices. It's sad to see a good hosting company going to shit. I can see they are offering more and more huge web hosting promo prices but what  don't see it how they will handle the situation which is keep getting worse.

Even at Lowcostbox they are not getting any good reviews anymore. Maybe those who use other locations like UK based servers haven't effected yet but LA users are doomed. This is not a WeloveServers Review but just a small ranting about hard time I'm having. I really hope they will do something about this before their long time clients loose love for WeLoveServers.net.

Black Friday Deals 2014

In two weeks Black Friday 2014 shopping rush will start. There will be lots of Web Hosting promo deals in Hosting market too. Last year I bought some shared hosting packages from Black Friday promos. Cheap Web Hosting packages which only cost around $1 - $2. This year I don't think I will buy any new packages. I have more than enough hosting space and even for search engine optimization purpose I don't need that many anymore. Also I'm down sizing my web site list.

Anyway if you plan to buy hosting packages this time make sure to do your homework first about each provider. You might find some Black Friday Hosting offers for ultra cheap but remember price is not the only factor which matters. There are new providers who offer so cheap deals but then simply vanish after a while or their service worse with time. Not all new hosting providers are like that but unfortunately there are more useless guys than good providers. So it's good if you make a list of all promising cheap hosting deals you can find and then check about each web hosting provider before you buy. Going for most reputed providers will help you to stay out of long term trouble.

Brustnet Closing Down

Brustnet have been in hosting market for over 10 years and they were specialized in providing cheap VPS and dedicated server solutions. They had mixed reviews just like most of low cost VPS providers since there are only few Budget VPS providers like Iniz vps hosting can keep providing a really good service and keep all clients happy with less downtime.

Anyway Back to the topic 25th last month they send mails to all their clients except for their CO-Location clients about this sad news. They are terminating services and closing down on 25th July. No point of talking about seasons but the main thing is they are having serious financial problems and even sued by several companies.

So now the biggest problem is what all these poor Brustnet clients would do or where to movie ? I think there are many vps and dedicated server providers offering promo deals for them but finding a good hosting provider and also moving everything again is a really a pain.

It's not easy to find a good vps provider who can offer same price rage as Brustnet used provide but There are couple of good cheap vps hosting providers out there. I use Iniz Hosting and also Hudson Valley Host and they both offer you really good prices and very reliable services. They are really good providers and I have used them for years also there's KnownHost but their prices bit high since they are a high-end server provider. If you are a BrustNet client then make sure to take a full backup right away. You can't be sure when they will down their servers even though they have given time till 25th. Don't wait till last second.

WeLoveServers Takeover Tuguhost

Last month I received a mail from Tuguhost stating WeLoveServers has bought Tuguhost so they are handling support and everything from now on. I hadn't heard about WeLoveServers hosting service before so I was curious about how think would end. I found they have staff members at WebHostingTalks forum, which is an very good sign. Also there were bad reviews about them. All negative reviews I found looks more like clients fault than providers. 

Tuguhost used to a good cheap web hosting provider with good uptime and even I have had an VPS with them. They had a great Promo offer last year for $20 per year VPS. I still have it and it's pretty good for that price. But back in February it had some down times and things got worse in March. They was a week long down time and Negative reviews started flooding in from angry clients.

I was really happy to see this merge because I had a feeling Tuguhost original owners are no longer able to handle things properly. But usual problem with this type of merge is clients get suspicious and start having problems. Fortunately in this case I think all Tuguhost clients were glad about merge and WeLoveServers hosting service has lived up to expectations. I haven't noticed any downtimes since then.

I have to remind everyone to make sure take backups no matter how good your hosting provider is. Sometimes things happen and Providers could go bankrupt or service could crash. Rather than blaming hosting providers later or regretting about it you should take timely backups.

Web Hosting for Unverified Paypal

I have seen so many people ask where they can buy cheap web hosting with an unverified Paypal. I know everyone has their own reasons why they use an unverified Paypal because if they can get verified it they would have get it one (except those scammers). So no point of telling them to get their account verified.

But the problem we have here is not many web hosting providers willing to accept unverified Paypal account because it's way too risky for them. If any of those hosting providers willing to do that then it their packages will be expensive. You can't blame them for taking bit more money for risk they take.

If you don't want to pay more money then you can use a provider who accept credit cards, if you have a credit card. Godaddy accept credit cards as well as Paypal so they might be something to check. If you have no other choice but using a unverified Paypal then the best option you have a Hostgator. They had some problems last year but things are better now. Hostgator is one of the most popular hosting companies in market and they do have cPanel too. They are little bit expensive but they are so many promo codes which you can use for getting a discount.

Also I saw a forum post saying hosting provider called Hosterbox accept unverified Paypal., I have no experienced using them but it's worth checking them. Important thing, Make sure you contact support and talk with them before buying from any of these hosting providers. If you are looking to provider who accept not Adult content then better get it verified by their support.

TuguHost Shared Hosting

I have posted about TuguHost before and it's been over a month now since I bought a cheap vps from them. So far I haven't had a single problem there even thought I haven't push the limits yet. I don't have to write a TuguHost review about vps here but I think if you are looking for a cheap but reliable shared hosting service then you can check their cheap shared hosting packages. BlackFriday Web Hosting Deals

BlackFriday is great time for finding cheap web hosting deals. I wanted to buy few good but ultra cheap shared hosting accounts from various providers so I have keep my eyes peels for this. Also I was looking for good VPS deals. There are so many people who were offering mouth watering web hosting deals for both Shared and VPS accounting but I had to make sure I only buy from providers who have a better reputation..

So I have several my own condition which I was search for these cheapest web hosting services. First to see if the provider has any negative reviews and why. This is important when you buy cheap hosting. Cheap means they have very little profit margin so you get less attention too. This is why I was search about Big companies with good offers. But I'm I found some small web hosting providers with really cool offers and they have been in this Web hosting field for a long time.

My price rage for shared hosting was $1 - $2. Yeah it's way too cheap but these accounts are not for big traffic sites. Also I was not looking for big stuff. My requirements were 15+ Addon domains, at least 1GB space, 10GB bandwidth, cPanel and other usual stuff like mail and mysql. You need to pay semi annually or annually for these accounts but that's something I liked too. It's not worth for hosting providers to collect a $1 every month and it's too troublesome for me too.

I was interesting in buying C class IP for each of my shared packages but it's not something practical or web hosting providers like. It doesn't worth the hassle since it  they won't make much profit from it. I found couple of web hosting providers who offer dedicated IPs with shared hosting for $1 - $3 per month per IP but I chose only one of them since the provider given a great offer and also service seems very good.

I bought four shared hosting accounts from different web providers and One very cheap VPS account. No point of buying too many same times since these take time to check and test. Also Christmas is coming so there will be more offers soon. I'll review and talk about each of these web hosting packages in later posts.

BlueHost Cheap Shared Web Hosting

If Godaddy and Hostgator are the most popular shared web hosting providers then BlueHost probably have the third place. They are not the cheapest web hosting provider out there but they have same price offers like Godaddy or Hostgator. Also they do have their own data centers and very good US based support staff. As to Wikipedia BlueHost is one of the 20 largest web hosting companies in the world and They have over 1.9+ million domains along with their sister companies HostMonster and FastDomain. In 2012 they had paid over 5 million USD for their affiliates so what kind of big user based they must have !

BlueHost only seems to have one shared web hosting place which gives you all you want. Unlimited Bandwidth, unlimited storage, hosting unlimited number of domains etc. and monthly fee is $3.99 if you pay annually. They are known for their high quality support and they do have 2 Toll Free 24/7 working phone numbers. Only problem I noticed is I'm not sure if they offer cPanel or they have their own custom control pannel like Godaddy.

They offer VPS too but those are not cheap VPS hosting. lowest vps package cost you 30$ per month and you ge 1core, 2Gb RAM, 30GB space and 1TB bandwidth. Well might be good for  those won't want to go through all the technical problems and let support to take care of everything.

Even though BlueHost is not the cheapest web hosting provider in the block I think their price is same as Godaddy Economy shared hosting package. Price is same and Maybe BlueHost is offering you cPanel too. If they do then I think they might be better provider than Godaddy. They do have good affiliate program too. Which offer $65 per sale. It's a nice commission and makes to want to make an account there too.  :)

Cheap Windows Web Hosting

If you are looking for Cheap Windows Web Hosting but in a solid web hosting providers then Both Godaddy and Hostgator provide windows hosting. at Godaddy Both Windows Hosting and Linux Hosting are same price all you have to do it choice which you want while filling online forms. But at Hostgator Windows Hosting is expensive than Linux Hosting. The Basic personal plan cost you $8 per month if you pay by month and $7 per month if you pay annually. There are another couple of good Windows Hosting providers like ASP.net but even they are expensive. 

Unlike with Linux Hosting where most of the things are free and open source, You need to buy license every software in Windows Hosting. So it's a costly service for web hosting providers. Server license, SQL license and other small things. Microsoft never give anything for free. But  Some developers need Windows Hosting for .net frame based web sites and web applications. So they have to buy Windows web hosting even thought it's expensive. You need .net frame work and IIS web server to hosting these window based applications.

One of the biggest drawbacks in Windows Hosting is you can't use cPanel since it's written in PHP and made for Linux systems and My SQL. Also If you are running IIS then usually you can't run Apache or any other Linux / PHP based HTTP servers. Also Windows Hosting use My SQL or Oracle in high-end operations. No My SQL. So most common web applications like Wordpress,  Joomla or web forum scripts like VBulletin, SMF or myBB can't be run in windows Hosting because these are written in PHP. You need Linux Hosting for these.

For now when we talk about cheapest web hosting and Windows based hosting I think Godaddy is rank #1. They offer same price for both Windows and Linux packages and that's nice. There are lots of web hosting providers offer cheap Windows hosting but I'm not sure how they keep running their business with price under $5. Probably using resellers and I always prefer to use web hosting providers who use their own Data centers or dedicated servers. You don't get too many problems this way. Reason for most of cheap web hosting problems is these are run by providers who only has reseller accounts and they don't have a control over their servers. So they have to wait for server owners sort out things when there is problem with servers. This usually take long and make clients angry.

NameCheap Shared Web Hosting

Since I have talked about Godaddy and hostgator bit too often as cheap hosting providers (they are not so cheap unless you want to run a forum) Someone anonymous why I don't mention anything about NameCheap shared web hosting packages. So I this little bit of digging and decided to make a post about their hosting packages.  Namecheap is more known as a Domain registration company than a web hosting provider. NameCheap Domain registration service is top notch. They are hassle free and keep everything clean and professional. maybe few dollars expensive than Godaddy but they don't put you through an advertising jungle when you try to buy something. They have a good name and big client base. They have stared offering web hosting services in early 2007 or late 2006. I think early days were bit a mess because they has some trouble with their hosting services. Some of their clients were not very impressed but some others stayed with them faithful. Now they seems providing a solid service and slowly growing bigger too. They probably have a 5000 - 15000 strong client base already not something you can compare with Godaddy or Hostgator but these guys are late boomers so should give them some credit.

Their cheapest web hosting package is $3.95 per month which is $47.40 for year. But unlike at Godaddy or Hostgator you have to pay annually. If you are willing to pay for 2 years then you get it for $3.45 per month. Good thing is you can host 5 domains in this basic package. at Godaddy and Hostgator you can only host single domain at their cheapest web hosting package. Also you get 25 GB RAID protected disk space and unlimited bandwidth like everywhere else these days. Also you get cPanel ! which don't get at Godaddy.com. NameCheap Hosting offer 14 day money back guarantee too. But always read the TOS / small print before buying. Always you should know what are their limits, when it comes to any web hosting provider.

Namecheap also have another 3 shared web hosting packages Professional Hosting ($5.95/m), Ultimate Hosting($9.95/m) and Business Expert Hosting($16.95/mo). I'm not going to put all details about these since these packages are not exactly cheap hosting. You can get decent VPS for $6 per month without cPanel. You can find more details about these packages from their web site. They do have another web sites specially for web hosting too. Which is web-hosting.com.

I think Namecheap cheap shared hosting package is pretty good for running a forum too, providing they wouldn't kick you out like one of those people runs cheap web hosting service in a reseller account. They are primarily a domain registration company. You are not going to get anything special for having both domain and hosting from same company. Also the common believe is do these 2 tasks in 2 separate companies rather than one place. This is because you will not have crisis same time in both domain names and your hosting account if you have these in different companies. Like Domains at Namecheap and Hosting at Hostgator.

If you are looking for cheap shared hosting service for your Forum or blog  you might be interested in this. Godaddy is offering Promo price for their web hosting packages. This is probably the cheapest Web Hosting offer you get from a Mega Web Hosting company at the moment. Hostgator hosting $66.72 for their lowest annual shared hosting plan. But you might able to find a code which will give you one month free. That's not cheap web hosting in my book. But they do offer you cPanel. This Godaddy promo offer is for those can't afford $66 for web hosting at the moment. I have seen talking angry about Godaddy hosting about I haven't had any trouble while I was using it.

Unfortunately I don't think this Godaddy discount code work for current web hosting users. Free Web Hosting VS Cheap Web Hosting

I have seen many just react like they heard about devil when someone ask if free web hosting is good or not. Usually when this question is asked in forums everyone jump into chant Free Hosting is terrible and only Paid hosting rules. So many Cheap Hosting Services and Free Hosting Services. I know When it comes to Free web Hosting VS Cheap Web Hosting many of you will just recommend cheap web hosting is better than free web hosting. This is the common believe. But does that have any truth in it ? Free Web Hosting is that scary as everything tell ?  I have used every type of Hosting by now except for dedicated servers. and I think Free Web hosting is good as cheap web hosting, as long as for what you are going to use it. Lets see how these 2 services match.

Support is the common problem for both free hosting and cheap hosting. Owners can't offer you top notch support like one of those high-end hosting providers willing to offer. If provider give you the service for free or for just one $1-$3 per month How can they offer such good support ? they simply can't. Users should understand this and also providers should clearly state this in their web site. What you get is what you paid for.  I think Support forum is a great way for both free and cheap hosting providers. There members can help each other in most of causes like when some newbie ask about how to use cPanel to add a domain or for things like these. It can save great deal of time for both parties than going through support tickets.

Another common problem is Uptime. Free and Cheap hosting services often get down times mainly because users try to abuse these services. There are other free hosting providers like Free Hostia and 000webhost. These guys are good too much maybe support won't be that fast. and they have loads of more restrictions. FriHost and Free Hostia has very little downtime.

Some good thing about Cheap Hosting is almost every cheap web hosting provider offer cPanel as control panel. Not many Free web Hosting providers can do that (FriHost does). This is one big advantage cheap web hosting has over free hosting. But again most hosting panels are easy to use and have all same features and options.

Free Web Hosting is great for static sites. Specially those new sites with little traffic. They usually have lots of PHP and Apache restrictions so it's hard to run WordPress with plugins. You will get better chance for Blogs with Cheap web hosting. But You should not run forums in both these type of hosting services. They can't handle forums. You won't have nice ending there. So you need to think practically before hosting sites in these places. Always chose right site for right hosting service. Don't expect a lot from something you get from free or cheap. If you want better service then pay more and go for better provider.

This is my opinion on Free Web Hosting VS Cheap Web Hosting. Both these services are good as long as you know for what you should use those. Only way to find out a good hosting service is trying those out. It's same free , cheap or high-end services.

When I was new to all these hosting and after I realized free web hosting is not the real deal at I had thought, I was looking for the cheapest web hosting services I could find. Well I was going to have another shocker. Cheapest Web Hosting is not the real thing ! I wouldn't accept this still I had several quite a messy disasters. $1 web hosting was mouth watering and irresistible but service would be terrible. You find your site down several times a day and sometimes have to reinstall everything. Support staff wouldn;t be always not available probably because usually these cheap web hosting services run buy a single who is running a ultra cheap VPS or reseller account. If you have a forum with decent amount of activity then never ever use ultra cheap web hosting, You are going to loose your data sooner or later (being there).

For a big blog or small but active forum the best choice of cheap web hosting is getting a cheapest hosting account from Big company like Godaddy or Hostgator. This going to cost you at least $5 per month but this is the only way to make sure your dynamic sites will run properly, You won't get lots of nice stuff but these big companies offer you incredible amount of resources for very cheap price. Use them till you can afford an VPS. Cheap or not always take backups when you are on a low budget hosting account. Web Hosting providers never good at keeping regular backups. It's always clients job to take backups of their own sites and don't blame Hosting service providers later.

If you are going to buy cheap web hosting then buy form someone had been around for years and someone who is a member of popular forums. Don't buy hosting from nice new guy who offer you it for ultra cheap prices. You don't know the guy and how nice he is when it comes to support. I have met few guys who had no idea how to treat their clients and pretend like they are giving us a free service. If you are not satisfied with a cheap hosting provider then just move on don't bother waiting their service to be improved. Also one of the most important thing about cancelling a hosting account is take complete backups of everything before you break the news to service provider. I have seen so many ugly fights between clients and providers about this.

If you want to find cheapest web hosting then the best place to find these is web hosting or webmaster forums. Read reviews and find this how long this hosting provider has been in business and also how long he has been a member of this forum. Also check his domain name in Domaintools and there you can see how old is his domains. If he say he has been in business for 10 years but domain is only 2 years old then either he is lying or he has change the business name. People never change good business names only if they are having some kind of problems or if they have sold their service to someone else. Also never keep your important sites in these cheap hosting account. Only static smaller sites should be kept in these.
