Hudsonvalleyhost Windows VPS After A Week

Last week I wrote about Hudsonvalleyhosts new Windows vps offers and I bought a box with 1GB Ram for $7.50. That's with a 25% reoccurring promo code. So after a week it's still running well no downtime so far and I haven't had to contact their support for any reason. Still now I haven't tried to test it's limits and just running a Pinterest software 24 hours a day.

Brustnet Closing Down

Brustnet have been in hosting market for over 10 years and they were specialized in providing cheap VPS and dedicated server solutions. They had mixed reviews just like most of low cost VPS providers since there are only few Budget VPS providers like Iniz vps hosting can keep providing a really good service and keep all clients happy with less downtime.

Anyway Back to the topic 25th last month they send mails to all their clients except for their CO-Location clients about this sad news. They are terminating services and closing down on 25th July. No point of talking about seasons but the main thing is they are having serious financial problems and even sued by several companies.

So now the biggest problem is what all these poor Brustnet clients would do or where to movie ? I think there are many vps and dedicated server providers offering promo deals for them but finding a good hosting provider and also moving everything again is a really a pain.

Iniz Web Hosting Review

Iniz is a VPS hosting provider and they do not offer shared hosting but I decide to write about them because they are a low cost provider yet their service is reliable and very good. Since I'm talking about cheapest web hosting here I thought they deserve a chance too. I found them in 2012 and they were a bit new those days and their brand name was StormVZ. They were UK based so I decided to take a budget vps from them because their prices are really good and I didn't see any bad reviews about them.

I still use that vps and now it's one year and 6 months since I have started using them. So far I have had no problems with them. I don't think I made more than half dozen of support tickets and everything was promptly answered and sorted. Never had long down times except for once when they were moving their servers to another data center and even that was less than 24 hours I think.

They are a cheap VPS provider but that doesn't mean their service is cheap, just their prices. I think the better phrase is they are a low budget vps hosting provider. Do do offer both OpenVZ and KVM vps hosting plans. You can choose different locations like USA, UK and Netherlands.

WeLoveServers Takeover Tuguhost

Last month I received a mail from Tuguhost stating WeLoveServers has bought Tuguhost so they are handling support and everything from now on. I hadn't heard about WeLoveServers hosting service before so I was curious about how think would end. I found they have staff members at WebHostingTalks forum, which is an very good sign. Also there were bad reviews about them. All negative reviews I found looks more like clients fault than providers. 

Tuguhost used to a good cheap web hosting provider with good uptime and even I have had an VPS with them. They had a great Promo offer last year for $20 per year VPS. I still have it and it's pretty good for that price. But back in February it had some down times and things got worse in March. They was a week long down time and Negative reviews started flooding in from angry clients.

I was really happy to see this merge because I had a feeling Tuguhost original owners are no longer able to handle things properly. But usual problem with this type of merge is clients get suspicious and start having problems. Fortunately in this case I think all Tuguhost clients were glad about merge and WeLoveServers hosting service has lived up to expectations. I haven't noticed any downtimes since then.

I have to remind everyone to make sure take backups no matter how good your hosting provider is. Sometimes things happen and Providers could go bankrupt or service could crash. Rather than blaming hosting providers later or regretting about it you should take timely backups.

TuguHost Hosting Review

I bought a vps account from TuguHost from their Blackfriday offer. I saw this offer at both WHT and Lowendtalk so decided giving it a try. I wanted account with at least 512 Guaranteed RAM so I can run a control panel like Kloxo (my plan was to try VirtualMin). I went for basic plan with,

• OpenVZ / SOLUSVM Control Panel.
• Equal Share CPU.
• 25 GB Disk space.
• 250 GB bandwidth.
• 1 IP Address.

With discount code I bought this account for an annual payment of $20. It's cheap for even un-managed  vps but not the cheapest. These days most average vps has at least 1GB Ram so this can be put as a low-end range. But it's a decent configuration which enough to run a vps without a problem. I was searching for the cheapest web hosting offers in Blackfriday and I wanted to see if I can get a cheap vps or two same time too.

I did a search for TuguHost Reviews in Google but couldn't find any. Tuguhost WHT promo topic says they are an Indonesia Hosting company which Established in 2012. So fairly new web hosting company. New doesn't mean bad at all even thought I usually careful about new companies. They have contact details in their Whois information which is a great. I don't like companies which high their location and contact details. You can find all contact details of TuguHost  there in Whois.

TuguHost TOS looks okey and I was told by their WHT representative that legal adult stuff is fine even though TOS says "Legal adult content is allowed however it cannot be the main focus of your website.". So it's better open a Ticket and find more about this if you plan to host fully adult or pornographic websites.

It took me over 24 hours to receive account details the vps. I waited for nearly 48 hours and then contact support and asked about. They "resend" account details mail even though I'm 100% sure I hadn't received it before. I was keep checking Inbox and SPAM folder time to time. Anyway I shouldn't opened a ticket right away not after 24 hours and also it's Blackfriday weekend so I guess it's fine.

TuguHost Support has been very good. Better than I expected because I received replys for all most all questions in ticket system within an hour and most of it within  30 minutes. It's an un-managed vps which costonly $20 so I was not expecting a lot. I hope support will stay like this.

No downtime or any problems since then. Still it's only 2 days since I have received the vps so it's too early to say more. But I'm happy with how things have gone with my vps at TuguHost so far. Will do a  another review in a month or so about uptime and support as well as speed.

Hudsonvalleyhost VPS Review

After using several ultra useless cheap vps packages which hadn't last long I realized I can't handle unmanage VPS so I have started using VPS from one of the Top VPS providers in web hosting market today. It's around $50 per month so this VPS is not cheap at all. But it was for one of my big web forums and I didn't want to have my lousy sites in same place. Didn't want to have a down time for my forum because of one of those other not so important web sites. So I was back in Market again for reliable but cheap Mangaed VPS. I don't think cheap is not the right word for this.  The correct phrase is low cost VPS.  

I used another vps provider who gave me a good price I think $18 per month and I got a VPS with 512 RAM and enough other resources. Also I found many more having this kinda problems with this company and a huge row on WHT about they under supplying what they promised. Now their owner is suspended from the forum.

Again I was back in market for another low-cost managed VPS. This time I was make sure to comb both Google search and WHT about reviews of these VPS providers. Last time I only went to mouth watering offers with low price and lots of resources. So this time I just wanted something decent for price I could afford.

They do have more Plans and I think discount code will save you few dollars too. You get a good support, cPanel/WHM and decent amount of resource for good price. They are not an unltra cheap VPS providers but their service is worth for that price. If you are looking for cheapest Web Hosting in VPS market this might be not for you. But if you are looking for low cost but reliable VPS provider then check them out.

Web Hosting Providers Who Offer Phone Support

If you are looking for Web hosting providers who offer phone support I you will need to have a reasonable budget. Cheap web Hosting package providers or those who offer low budget solutions usually don't offer phone support. Also Web hosting providers who have out sourced their support process can't offer phone support either. Not when you have your Support center somewhere like India and Client base on Europe or North America. This is not web hosting providers fault. Who can offer $1 web hosting with phone support. Only big companies like Godaddy and Hostgator can offer cheap web Hosting with Phone support because they are ultra huge client base so their cost is  not so high. I don't think any Hosting provider offer toll-free call support anymore like early days of internet. In those days shared hosting account cost aroun $50-$100 per month of they had no problem giving toll-free call support.

These days both shared and VPS hosting providers prefer ticket systems. They are some good and practical reasons for this. One of the good reason for both provider and client is Ticket system provides a paper trail which can be helpful in tricky situations. Also if the support ticket handling given to someone else, new support person able to see how it has gone so far. Client doesn't have to pour the whole story again and then go through same questions and answers. Best Free Hosting Panel for VPS

If you are going to buy an unmanaged cheap VPS then main problem you get is you have to do everything by your self. If you are newly moved to VPS territory from shared hosting this gonna look like a  totally new world to you. Provider gives you login details for VPS control panel and shell access. You can install OS from your VPS panel but installing rest is bit hard and you have to do those through Shell mode. There you need to install a Hosting control panel for your VPS. cPanel cost you at least $5 - $10 a month so all most all VPS owners use one of those free hosting control panels listed below,

Each of these have their own strong points and weak points. Most popular are Kloxo, Webmin & Virtualmin and zPanel. Webmin & Virtualmin is a great combo and work great with low resource VPS but it's not easy to get used to it and have bit long learning curve. zPanel is a new addition to free control panels but this need some high amount RAM and not great for VPS with less than 1 GB RAM unless you know how to tweak it.

Kloxo is the most popular and widely use free hosting panel for cheap vps users. It looks very much like cPanel and has very nice GUI and panel features. If you are a cPanel fan then you will be fine with Kloxo. You need to have at least 512 MB RAM to run Kloxo unless you know how to disable unwanted options. Some say 256 MB RAM is enough but that's only for control panel alone. You need at least another 150 - 200 MB for rest of the tasks like OS and SQL servers. Best thing about Kloxo is, user friendliness of it. Installing Kloxo is very easy even for someone who do it for first time. There are plenty of Tutorials about How to install Kloxo and all you have to follow one of those. Very little chance you encounter a problem unlike other free control panels.

My favorite free control panel is Kloxo. I have tried rest but couldn't get along with any of those. One problem with Kloxo is it's not compatible with CentOS 6 or newer so far. Also there are lots of ranting about the panel has security holes and others saying all of these are patched. But needless to say Kloxo is great for your low-end VPS needs. It might be not same as cPanel when to comes to performance and security. But if you are looking for a Cheap VPS which probably would be a low-end box then this is one of the best options out there for you. You won't use $10 per month for cPanel license if only pay for $5 per month for a Cheap VPS. But if you are going to buy a $50 VPS then adding cPanel is something you must do. If you compare both paid and free hosting control panels none of the other panels come even closer to cPanel.
